Dear Representative:

I read that SunCal New Mexico Tax Increment Development Districts (TIDDs) will create 12,900 high-wage jobs. That means my children can live and work in New Mexico. Our children should not have to leave the state after they finish school in order to find good jobs.

Please support SunCal New Mexico’s request for TIDDs, so that the company can attract high-wage jobs and help our communities prosper.

My understanding is that SunCal New Mexico must deliver jobs before they get reimbursed. I hope you will support good jobs for New Mexico by passing SunCal New Mexico's TIDD request.

I've heard that SunCal New Mexico's Tax Increment Development Districts (TIDDs) offer developer accountability and taxpayer protection.

SunCal New Mexico will only get repaid if and when it:

1. Brings in new high-wage jobs; and
2. Increases the state's tax base.

This will help our economy.

New jobs with new tax revenues are what New Mexico needs.

I hope you will consider developer accountability plus taxpayer protection and support this long-overdue smart community building.

I have seen too many of our neighborhoods built without full consideration for adequate roads, parks, water, sewer, flood control, jobs and services. And unfortunately, planning and zoning alone won't make growth really 'smart.'

That's why I respectfully request that you support the SunCal New Mexico TIDD to make sure that the new Westside infrastructure be built right and upfront in a thoughtful, well-planned way.

The result will allow New Mexicans to work, shop and play closer to where we live with less traffic, stress and pollution. Our children deserve the kind of smart growth the SunCal New Mexico TIDD will help make happen.

I understand that SunCal New Mexico has a plan to build communities that will protect our environment and conserve water and energy while enhancing our quality of life.

By bringing clean high-wage jobs near to where people live, there will be less commuter congestion and less air pollution.

By preserving open space, SunCal New Mexico will maintain a healthy mix of buildings within the natural environment. I've heard that the community they want to develop will be pedestrian- and bike-friendly. And they are committed to funding an Atrisco foundation, so that our history and cultural heritage are not lost to future generations.

But they will not be able to do this type of progressive, sustainable community building if they cannot do the infrastructure up front, in a coordinated, environmentally focused kind of way.

That is why they need your support for the Tax Increment Development District (TIDD). I hope you will support their request, and I look forward to seeing a community come forth that really protects our natural resources while also preserving our heritage.

I believe supporting SunCal New Mexico's request for a TIDD will help make home ownership a reality for more New Mexicans. We deserve decent homes and ready access to services and amenities, just like everyone else.

This company has a history of building communities, and making the dream of homeownership a reality for diverse families and lifestyles.

If TIDD-style development delivers on its promises, a family's entire situation will be improved, since SunCal New Mexico will put high-wage jobs, amenities, shops and transportation within easy reach.

Young, struggling families have it hard enough already. They shouldn't have to face long, expensive commutes. So I hope you will support the SunCal New Mexico TIDD and the new jobs and communities they will bring to New Mexico.

Dear Representative:

As a native of New Mexico, I am very proud of our state. Recently we have had the good fortune to attract new businesses that will bring more jobs to our state. I am also in favor of smart growth and want to live in a community that appreciates and encourages open-space preservation.

It seems to me that TIDDs are one way that we can continue to attract business to this great state, and allow good development that encourages sustainability. By approving TIDDs we are making an investment in our future and our children.

Without measures such as TIDDs in place to encourage responsible growth, we will not be as effective in attracting top companies. New Mexico should be a leader in attracting business through smart growth developments, made possible by TIDDs.

We cannot drive our future with out some incentives to business.

That is why I am in favor of TIDDs.
